Health and wellness are words we hear often, but what do they mean to you and do you make them a priority each day?
For many years I saw health as ‘work’ and as something extra to add to my day. Eating healthy and moving my body seemed like work. A skincare routine seemed like work. Self care seemed like something I had to earn by being ‘busy’. I did eat healthy, I did move my body, but I did them with the mindset of work. I did them with the mindset of ‘I should be doing this’. I did them with the mindset of, ‘if I eat the healthy food and if I move my body, surely I will look how I want to, surely I will love myself more’.
But this mindset meant that when things got tough, or when I didn’t see the results I wanted, I’d self sabotage.
Things had to change….
So now, I choose to love myself. I choose to express myself. I choose to surround myself with loving, kind, caring, healthy people. I choose to nourish my body for the blessing that it is. I choose to move my body out of LOVE. I choose a daily skincare routine that makes me feel like a GODDESS. I choose weekly self care and self love habits. I choose to make time to heal old wounds. I choose to be curious with my emotions. I choose to model self love and live a life I’m proud of.
